Description of Position: The posting is for the position of Consultant or Senior Consultant, primarily working in the company’s education practice. Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and execution of online educational training materials and web-based professional development tools
  • Research and analysis work in the education sector, including execution and analysis of surveys,
  • focus groups, secondary research, and primary interview-based research
  • Planning, execution, and review of project reports and written deliverables
  • Interfacing with clients, education professionals, partners, and subcontractors
The consultant / senior consultant will work primarily on the company’s federal education projects; initial responsibility will primarily be dedicated to researching and planning online professional development training tools focused on the afterschool space. Attributes of the ideal candidate include:
  • Experience conceptualizing and designing professional development training in an in-person or online setting
  • Familiarity with educational technology and web development processes and tools
  • Experience conducting research in the education field
  • Experience in a consulting or similar client-driven environment
  • Educational background in K-12 education and/or educational technology, preferably at the MA or PhD level

Web Developer

The job will be split between doing HTML/CSS/JavaScript work for PBS Parents (http://pbs.org/parents) related to our programs (Arthur, Curious George, etc.) and coding Flash interactives for our K-12 media library, http://teachersdomain.org
