Mount Ida seeks qualified candidates for the position of Director of Assessment, Learning and Teaching.
In this newly created position, the Director of Assessment will provide consultation and expertise in assessment to all areas of the College and will support initiatives to assess student learning and achievement. The Director will work within a team-oriented environment to develop a culture of assessment as part of an exciting new opportunity to link assessment of student learning with faculty development efforts.
The successful candidate will have a doctorate, a strong background in assessment of learning outcomes and a minimum of three years experience with assessment practices in higher education in addition to direct knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, analysis and application of assessment results to improve teaching and learning at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the Director will teach in our undergraduate program. Strong written and presentation skills as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple goals, projects and deadlines, and be a collegial member of the college community are important attributes in this key administrative position that reports to the Office of Academic Affairs.
